Gnawed Areas Outside the Home

If you have wood baseboards or other, non-brick or metal areas along the ground level, attic area, and basically anywhere in between then you have places where mice can enter. Look for spots where there has been chewing and scratching. This is an excellent sign that mice are trying to find a way to get inside your home.

Faint Sounds of Scratching and Clawing at Night

Mice are very rarely seen during the day as they are nocturnal animals. This means that most of their activity takes place at night after they have slept most of the day. This is the time when they eat and hunt for various necessities. One of those necessities is shelter. Therefore, if you can hear the sound of scratching outside a window or even gnawing, that is the culprit you’ve been looking for.
