What Happens During a Professional Mouse Inspection?

If you’ve seen a mouse, found droppings or heard scratching in the walls, you probably want to know two things: How are the mice getting inside, and how do I stop them? That’s exactly what a professional mouse inspection is designed to figure out.

At Mice Mob Exterminators, our inspections aren’t just about confirming that you have mice. We’re looking for the reason they’re there in the first place.

We Start by Looking for Signs of Mouse Activity

The first step is determining where mice are active. Droppings, nesting materials, gnaw marks, damaged food packaging and rub marks can all help tell the story. We’ll also talk with you about where you’ve seen or heard activity and when you first noticed the problem. Those details can help us narrow down where mice may be traveling.

Then We Look for How They’re Getting Inside

This is one of the most important parts of the inspection. Mice don’t need a wide-open door. Small gaps around your home can be enough to give them access. We inspect areas such as the foundation, siding, utility penetrations, garage doors, vents, pipes and other potential entry points. We’re looking for openings that homeowners may walk past every day without realizing they’re there.

We Check the Areas Mice Like to Use

Inside the home, we’ll focus on areas where mouse activity is most likely to occur. That can include basements, utility areas, kitchens, garages and other spaces where mice can find food, warmth or shelter. Every home is different, which is why we don’t believe in treating every mouse problem exactly the same way.

You’ll Know What We Found

Once the inspection is complete, we’ll explain what we’re seeing and what we recommend. If there are exterior openings that need to be sealed, we’ll identify them. If there’s evidence of an active infestation, we’ll discuss the appropriate mouse removal and treatment plan. We can also address contaminated areas that may require professional disinfection. The goal isn’t to sell you something you don’t need. It’s to determine why you have mice and what needs to happen to solve the problem.
