Mice Infestation

Natural Ways to Control a Mice Infestation

Mice can become a major problem in nearly no time at all. So, what are you supposed to do if you want to use natural methods to keep the infestation down and drive mice away? Here are a few tips that could make the problem a little easier. However, these tips are not known to help long-term, and they are not nearly as effective as calling in a professional to remove the infestation.

Try Natural Oils That Mice Do Not Like The Smell Of

Cedar oil is one of the most efficient deterrents against mice. You can spray it along all entry points or mix it with water and put it in a spray bottle to make your own mouse repellent. The smell works on these little creatures, which will simply avoid any area where they detect its presence. This solution is also perfect if you want to repel other pests such as mosquitoes or other bugs.

Another good alternative for deterring mice is peppermint oil. It has a very strong smell that can repel mice and other rodents as well as bugs, which will leave your home perfectly safe! You can also combine it with cedar essential oils if you want to increase its effects.

If you do not like the scent of cedar and would rather use something else, we recommend using peppermint and clove oil. The strong aroma of this combination keeps mice away and will make your house much more enjoyable once they are gone. Simply mix both essential oils in a spray bottle filled with water, shake well before each time you use it, then spritz it in any entry point you want to keep mice away from.

Clean Any Spillages Immediately

Mice can be very attracted by dirt or even spills from food, so it’s important that your house is clean and well-prepared to fend off their intrusion. To eliminate any chances of them entering in, wipe out all dirty dishes before going to bed and do a full check on the kitchen every morning after waking up. Make sure there are no crumbs on the countertops or any other places where they might gather up and make a nest inside.

If these ideas do not work, then you need to call in the pros. Contact us here at Mice Mob Exterminators today, and let us help. We will give you a quote for the job and thoroughly inspect every area so you can know your home and family are safe.
